Radon Testing
Our radon testing service includes comprehensive testing of your home or workplace to accurately measure radon levels. We use state-of-the-art equipment and provide detailed reports for your peace of mind.
Our radon measurement service is trusted by homeowners for its accuracy and reliability. With our attention to detail and commitment to excellence, you can trust us to deliver the results you need for a healthier living environment. We endeavour to keep our fees at a level that is affordable so that most can afford a professional test.
We offer:
1. Short-term testing ( 3-9 days) using the Rad Elec E-Perm system for immediate results and for real estate transactions (4 days). C-NRPP maintains that real estate transactions must have a long-term test (91-365 days) completed within the first fall or winter months. A full report is given immediately after detector retrieval.
2. Long-term testing (91-365 days) using the E-Perm system, Accustar AT-100 or Radonova Radtrak2 system. Recommended by Health Canada, Public Health Departments and C-NRPP (Canadian National Radon Proficiency Program) and CARST (Canadian Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists).
FEES for testing are $200 for in-city testing and $250-$300 for out-of-city testing depending on distance. HST is added for all fees. Fees are due after testing using the E-Perm system, when a report is received. A full report is given immediately after detector retrieval. No waiting 3-4 weeks for results from a lab in the US!
We also have LT (Long term) [Accustar AT-100] radon detectors for DIY testing ($54.95 + shipping to you if needed) and HST. These detectors are the No. 1 detector rated by Consumer Reports.
As well we offer ST (short term) Rad Elec E-Perm professional detectors for "rental" ($54.95 + shipping to you if needed) + HST. Return shipping to me is the responsibility of the consumer. A full report will be supplied when the detector is received by us. Email me for details on obtaining these.

Radon Mitigation
Radon levels above 200 Bq/m3 require mitigation according to Health Canada within 2 years.
WHO suggest levels above 100 Bq/m3 are a concern.
We do NOT do mitigation since we feel that it is a conflict of interest to do measurement and to mitigate.
We can recommend C-NRPP-Certified mitigation contractors if needed.
C-NRPP = Canadian Radon Proficiency Program; this agency governs and accredits both measurement and mitigation professionals.
